Recipe Contest Entry Deadline: Bring Entries at 10:30 a.m. on May 11, 2012
The Franklin County Cooperative Extension invites you and your family to 2012 Franklin County Strawberry Festival on May 11, at the Franklin County Farmer’s Marketing, 129 Shannon Village Shopping Center, Louisburg, NC! There will be a recipe contest beginning at 10:30 a.m., free homemade strawberry ice cream at 11:15 a.m., educational sessions about strawberries and how they grow at 11:30 a.m., and kids’ activities! In addition, guests will have the opportunity to win a $10 Wal-mart Gift Card from NCA&T and have their blood pressure checked by the local Health Department.
The recipe competition is for adults and youth with prizes awarded for the best tasting entry in 3 categories of cakes / pies, breads / muffins, and novelties. All recipes must contain strawberries!
