The Henderson Police Department would like to remind our citizens that City ordinance, as well as North Carolina General Statute prohibits any motor vehicle from parking the wrong way on a public street. Fines imposed are twenty dollars ($20.00). Recently citizens have made numerous complaints regarding violators in the areas of Rose Ave. (City Hall), and the Post Office on Garnett Street. We would ask our drivers to take the extra few minutes to park legally and show respect and courtesy to other customers that are using these facilities. Aggressive enforcement of these violations will begin on Monday, September 17, 2012. As always, Law Enforcement responds to our citizens’ requests for service on minute, as well as more serious issues that affect the quality of life for those who choose to call Henderson home.
