Bald Head Island ferry passengers will see a change in baggage prices effective Oct. 1. Riders carrying baggage in excess of six items will be charged a $5 fee for each additional item, and a $23 charge will be assessed for “large, heavy or cumbersome items” such as bicycles and those longer than 7 feet. Oversized items cannot be carried on. The change does not affect passenger fares.
