First in Families Lunch and Learn October 23rd


Learn the answers to the following Questions……

Where do I find services and supports such as respite, child care, therapies for individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities?

Where do I go for emergency funds to assist in the purchase of assistive devices, home adaptations or other items the individual/family deems necessary to live in the community?

Who can assist with information and links to community resources and supports for individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities?

Where do I go to get assistance with basic living needs and medical expenses; referrals to other resources that offer support to the family of individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities?

How can I help increase employment rates of individuals with Developmental Disabilities in our community?

First In Families (FIF) partners with families, individuals and the community to fulfill the needs and life goals of families with developmental disabilities (including autism, Down syndrome, epilepsy and traumatic brain injury). FIF offers resources and assistance to help individuals and families become self-sufficient or meet a basic need, such as housing (rent or mortgage payments), utilities, food, clothing, furniture or appliances.
