RALEIGH — After a month-long break for the N.C. State Fair, the Raleigh Flea Market reopens Saturday. In addition, the N.C. State Fairgrounds will host several events this weekend.
The flea market operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays except during October, when the annual State Fair is held. One of the largest flea markets in the Southeast, the Raleigh Flea Market is host to hundreds of dealers and craftsmen, with free parking available.The Flea Market will be open regular hours on Thanksgiving weekend, but will NOT be open Friday, Nov. 23.
The following events are also scheduled for this weekend: Capital Area Handbell Festival, Nov. 2 and 3 in the Kerr Scott Building; Triangle Farms NCHJA “C” Indoors Horse Show, Nov. 2-4 at the Hunt Horse Complex; the Raleigh Professional Firefighters Association Fundraiser featuring John Michael Montgomery, Nov. 3 in Dorton Arena; Dubs for a Cause Fundraiser, Nov. 3 in the Holshouser Building; and the Neuse River Trains 28th Annual Train and Railroadiana Show & Sale, Nov. 3 and 4 in the Exposition Center.
