Notice is hereby given that the City of Henderson will hold a Public Hearing on the North Carolina Community Development CDBG Capacity Program for the Plan Year 2012, as administered by the North Carolina Department of Commerce. This grant will build capacity for the 2013 funding cycle of the CDBG Catalyst Grant. The Public Hearing will be held on Monday November 26, 2012 at 6:00 PM at the City of Henderson City Hall in the Robert “Chick” Young Council Chambers.
CDBG Programs are federally funded through the N. C. Department of Commerce to assist local governments with community and economic development projects that primarily benefit low-and moderate-income persons. The CDBG Capacity Program is a grant category under the Community Development Program. This grant will focus these activities in the Flint Hill Neighborhood.
At the Public Hearing, a review of the regulation and eligible activities will be provided for the Capacity program category. All interested City of Henderson Citizens are invited to attend this meeting and make public comments concerning the 2012 CDBG Capacity program
