Shot Fired at Maria Parham Medical Center, Subject Arrested.
On March 7, 2013 around 6:00 PM officers with the Henderson Police Department who were conducting security of a mental patient at Maria Parham Medical Center, 566 Ruin Creek Road, Henderson heard a gunshot come from a restroom in the emergency room. Officers immediately responded and detained a male subject. Subject was arrested and has been charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied building. Vance-Granville Community College awarded 324 scholarships to students at an awards ceremony, held Feb. 20 in the college’s Civic Center.
