PRIDE to Host Sixth Annual Men to Men Summit

The PRIDE of Halifax Male Mentoring Program will host the sixth annual Men to Men Summit at The Centre at Halifax Community College (HCC) from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 10. “Am I My Brother’s Keeper?” is this year’s theme. There is no charge to attend.
The summit is designed for young men and professionals. Concurrent sessions for students will address “College and Hip-Hop Culture…Cross the Intersections with Care,” “How the Images You See in the Media Impact You and Your Sense of Self Worth” and “Reclaiming the Minority Male Image: A Discussion of Clips from ‘A War For Your Soul’ and ‘Bringing Your ‘A’ Game’.” For administrators and community organizations, the topic, “Establishing Multiple Pathways to Educational Success” will be addressed.
A talent competition and poetry contest will also be held during the summit.
Early registration will be held through March 30. Registration after the deadline will be on a space-available basis.
