Warren County Free Clinic To Hold First Radio-Thon Friday – Sunday, April 19, 20 & 21st
The Warren County Free Clinic Radio-thon will air from April 19th – 21st from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Radio Station WARR 1520 AM. The goal of the Radio-thon is to raise $150,000 to keep the doors open, and to accomplish the mission of serving the medical needs of the uninsured residents of Warren and Vance counties.
The Free Clinic enrolled 80 patients in 2006, its first year, and has progressively grown to over 4500 at this time. The clinic provides free medical evaluations, free lab tests and free medications by utilizing volunteer and paid medical professionals
Their existence depends on the generous donations of foundations and corporations. However, over the last few years awards have progressively diminished in value and some are no longer available.
In order to reach their goal of $150,000 to keep the doors open, and to accomplish their mission they are asking for donations and pledges of any amount from $5, $10, $20, $50, $100, $500 to $1,000 and up.
All donations are tax -deductible and can be made in cash, check, credit card or Pay Pal at Warren County Free Clinic, 546 W. Ridgeway St., Warrenton, NC 27589. Please make your online donations at www.warrencountyfreeclinic.org
Volunteers are also needed to help with the Radio-thon. Everyone that is interested please call 252-257-1904 to get on the volunteer list. For more information contact: Dr. Cosmos George, Board Chair, Warren County Free Clinic Inc., at 252-257-1904.
