On Tuesday, May 21, 2013, officers with the Henderson Police Department arrested Lagarris Alexander Peace. Peace was charged with one count of trafficking heroin by possession and one count of trafficking heroin by transportation after a Vance County Grand Jury returned true bills of indictment for the alleged offenses. Peace was already out on bond charged with one count of trafficking heroin by sale. All charges stem from an incident occurring on October 19, 2012.
Peace was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a 133,000.00 secured bond. This arrest is another in the ongoing investigation of the sale and distribution of heroin and violent crime in the Henderson and Vance County area. The investigation was conducted by the Henderson Police Department Special Operations Division and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Additional arrests are forth coming in the ongoing investigation.
