Vance County Schools is asking for cooperation from our community from students, parents and local residents who plan to attend the Northern Vance and Southern Vance football game this Friday night.
The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Raider Stadium at Southern Vance High School.
A large crowd is expected to attend the game. To ensure that spectators are in their seats by the beginning of the game, school officials are encouraging students, parents and other individuals who plan to attend the game to arrive early. Gates at Raider Stadium will open for spectators at 6:45 p.m.
Everyone attending the game must go through metal detectors at the gates. Anyone attending is asked to not bring bags, so that spectator admission to the stadium will move as quickly as possible. Spectators also are asked to bring correct change to pay for admission to help the admission process move more quickly. The fee for admission to the game is $6 per person.
Tickets can be purchased in advance Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at Southern Vance High School.
Extra security also will be on hand before, during and after the game. All spectators are expected to be on their best behavior, so that the event will be an enjoyable experience for everyone.
