RALEIGH — After a month-long break for the N.C. State Fair, the Raleigh Flea Market reopens Saturday, Nov. 9. In addition, the N.C. State Fairgrounds will host several events this weekend.
The flea market operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays except during October, when the annual State Fair is held.
The Raleigh Flea Market is host to more than 600 dealers and craftsmen, showcasing everything from antiques and collectibles to handicrafts, furniture, homemade goods, clothing and jewelry. One of the largest flea markets in the Southeast, it was featured in USA Today Travel’s “10 Best Flea Markets in the Country.” Free parking is available.
The flea market will be open regular hours on Thanksgiving weekend, but will not be open Friday, Nov. 29.
The following events are also scheduled at the fairgrounds this weekend: Jump for the Children Horse Show benefiting Duke Children’s Hospital, Nov. 5-10 at the Hunt Horse Complex; Capital Area Handbell Festival, Nov. 8 and 9 in the Scott Building; Raleigh Antiques Extravaganza, Nov. 9 in the Graham Building; Young Champions Karate/Self-Defense Competition, Nov. 9 in Dorton Arena; the Neuse River Trains 29th Annual Train and Railroadiana Show & Sale, Nov. 9 and 10 in the Exposition Center.
