Senator Angela Bryant: Grants available for Local Farmers

District 4 Halifax, Nash, Vance, Wilson, and Warren Counties Eligible $8,000 Farm Grants

$10,000 for Collaborative Group Projects

Deadline: Wednesday, December 4, 2013

The Rural Advancement Foundation International’s (RAFI) Tobacco Communities Reinvestment Fund announces 2014 grants for existing farm enterprises.  If you are a North Carolina farmer earning at least 50% of your personal income from your farm operation you may be eligible to apply for a grant.

Priority will be given to projects that demonstrate a way to replace lost tobacco income.  Competitive projects will explore innovative strategies in production, processing or marketing for the agricultural marketplace.

Contact Joe Schroeder, RAFI, at (919) 542-1396 or joe@rafiusa.org for assistance with the grant and more information.
