IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

 

 

The second nine-week grading period and the first semester of the school year end on Thursday. This Friday is a teacher workday with no school for students. The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday is Monday, January 20, and all schools and school system offices are closed for the day. Tuesday, January 21, is a teacher workday with no school for students. All students return to classes on Wednesday, January 22, to begin the second semester.

   

Teacher Talk session on Tuesday for first and second-year teachers in the Administrative Services Center from 4 to 6 p.m.

E.M. Rollins Elementary: (Monday, January 13) – After school tutoring from 3 to 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Henderson for selected students

   

L.B. Yancey Elementary: (Monday, January 13) – Professional Learning Centers

   

New Hope Elementary: (Tuesday, January 14) – Principal’s Breakfast

   

L.B. Yancey Elementary: (Tuesday, January 14) – Renaissance Math training

   

Zeb Vance Elementary: (Tuesday, January 14) – Lego League

   

Zeb Vance Elementary: (Wednesday, January 15) – Science projects due from students in grades 3-5 by 8:30 a.m. Science Fair open 12 to 4 p.m.

   

Carver Elementary: (Thursday, January 16) – Pre-kindergarten field trip to Carolina Lanes. PTO meeting at 6 p.m.

   

E.O. Young Jr. Elementary: (Thursday, January 16) – Specials Rewards for end of nine-week grading period

Friday, January 24: Aycock Elementary second graders have reward for reaching Accelerated Reader goals by participating in swimming fun at the Aycock Recreation Center pool

Friday, January 31: BOUNCE Clubs begin at L.B. Yancey Elementary

   

Friday, January 31: Henderson Optimist Club rewards for top readers and best attendance at 1:15 p.m. at E.O. Young Jr. Elementary
