Vance County Schools will be conducting very brief Parent Surveys during the evening of Thursday, March 20, through our Blackboard Connect calling system.
The parents of each student in our schools will receive the survey call at their primary telephone number.
We urge all parents to please respond to the five-question survey, which should take less than three minutes to complete.
The call will be made by Terri Hedrick, the public information officer for the school system. She will ask parents to respond “yes” or “no” to each question. The call will ask parents to press “1” on their phone to answer yes and “2” on their phone to answer no to each question.
The five questions included in the Parent Survey are:
- Do you think the school has a support learning environment?
- Do you think the school provides a quality educational program for your child?
- Do you think discipline is enforced in your child’s school?
- Do you feel welcome to visit your child’s school at any time?
- Do you think the views of parents are seriously considered when school decisions are made?
Parents’ responses to these five questions are very important as our schools work to improve educational instruction for all of our students.
As parents receive the calls next week, we ask that they listen to each question and provide a yes or no answer. Their responses will provide our schools with very valuable information!
Anyone who has questions about the Parent Survey may contact Terri Hedrick by telephone at 492-2127, extension 2100, or by e-mail at thedrick@vcs.k12.nc.us.
