What a shame that NVHS Softball Team had to cancel the rest of the season due to lack of participants. Rumor has it that a few of the students became ineligible after the report cards came out. A local radio station was discussing the issue yesterday and said that too many girls were playing Travel Ball and weren’t making the sacrifices to play both travel ball and school ball.
For all you adults that live in the Hendeson/Vance area and claimed to be vested in the betterment of the community shame on you for not supporting the local athletic programs.
Kudos to Ronald Gregory who was quoted as saying that Joe Richardson would NEVER coach at any level within any school in Vance Co. after he was charged with assault during the NVHS/WEBB Football game at the end of the season. With “coaches” like this it’s no wonder why some parents refuse to let there kids participate. Maybe that’s the answer to the question? Who knows other than the “know it alls” @ HiH?
