Introducing DAS Organization – New Program for Henderson Area Kids

Fittness and Funn (DAS Organization) is a safe and dependable program designed to lessen neighborhood tension, promote neighborhood unity, combat community deterioration, and prevent juvenile delinquency by providing youth and other community members with opportunities for artistic and technical skill development. This program also addresses problems with current services which prevent low-income adults and at-risk youth from achieving self-sufficiency. This program will target the counties of Vance, Warren, Franklin, and Granville.

DAS Organization has created several entities that would embrace these goals, such as Entertainment Production Company, Transportation, and Chances, Choices and Opportunities. The DAS program takes pride in working with the youth while caring for the elderly. The objectives of DAS are to get young people to understand the importance of education, to encourage them, and to build self-esteem. It is also the objective of this organization to serve the economic development of distressed areas and to assist in growth and bring about improvement in the community. DAS’s goal is to offer young adults and other community members assistance in making good decisions through change. Since change is necessary, the transition through which change takes place is also necessary.

People of any age who learn a new skill, stretch beyond normal comfort zones, or otherwise extend themselves gain a better self-image, higher self-esteem, and new means of expression–all of which result in happier, more peaceful communities. DAS Organization believes that this program not only helps the youth of the community but also provides growth for possible new businesses that will not only build up the community but be a profitable investment. With the proper funding, DAS will be able to provide jobs and opportunities that will promote a better community and improved economic standing. DAS’s intention is to help young people develop their skills and talents where they may become an asset to the community.
