Southern Vance High School’s Kendra Simmons is a four-year starter on the volleyball team, a captain on the cheerleading squad and a starter on the softball team. She is also tops in her class academically and a volunteer tutor and is this week’s winner of Tom Suitor’s Extra Effort Award.
