Yesterday, the President met with his senior health, homeland security, and national security advisors to review the United States’ Ebola response. They discussed the Ebola case in Dallas, the United States’ broader preparedness plans, and both domestic and international efforts to contain and end the epidemic.
President Obama made it clear that Ebola is a top national security priority, but reiterated that the chance of an Ebola outbreak in the U.S. is extremely low.
“It is important for Americans to know the facts,” he said. “Because of the measures that we’ve put in place, as well as our world-class health system and the nature of the Ebola virus itself — which is difficult to transmit — the chance of an Ebola outbreak in the United States is extremely low.”

Another person in Dallas with whom the patient stayed is now exhibiting symptoms of Ebola–this usually show up within ten days of exposure–right on schedule it would seem.
Once upon a time in the United States there was “Quarantine”–anyone in Washington ever hear of it?
How about this? Let’s STOP incoming flights from known infected countries. A third grader could use his common sense to figure that out, yet our leaders sit back and do NOTHING. The funniest part of all is that they are now talking about taking people’s temperature when getting off the plane from infected countries. That’s great if the person is showing symptoms already. However, as Prudence stated above, symptoms don’t show up for ten days. People are going to get off of the plane with no symptoms, have their temperature taken, and walk freely into our country, onto our buses, onto our subways, into our restaurants and into stores. Many will get sick, all because our leaders are cowards and choose to do nothing.
