Meth Lab Shut Down


On Wednesday, October 15, 2014, members of the Henderson Police Department Special Operations unit in conjunction with agents of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation shut down an active methamphetamine lab in the city limits of Henderson. Agents executed a search warrant at 1052 Ruin Creek Road- The Knight’s Inn room 214. Occupants of the room were actively engaging in the manufacturing process at the time of the warrant execution.

Vanessa Minor-Benton, 30, 3496 Dabney Road, Henderson was charged with the following offenses: Possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine; Manufacturing methamphetamine; Maintaining a place for keeping a controlled substance; Possession of a precursor chemical for manufacturing methamphetamine. Minor-Benton was also found to be wanted in the state of South Carolina for probation violation. Bond for Minor-Benton was set in the amount of 185,000.00.

 

Jonathon Rhodes

Jonathon Rhodes

Jonathon Rhodes, 26, 835 Coble Blvd., Henderson, was charged as follows: Possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine; Manufacturing methamphetamine; Maintaining a place for keeping a controlled substance; Possessing a precursor chemical for manufacturing methamphetamine. Bond for Rhodes was set in the amount of 85,000.00.

 

Geoffrey Blair Reavis

Geoffrey Blair Reavis

Geoffrey Blair Reavis, 24, 2471 Nutbush Road, Henderson was charged as follows: Possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine; Manufacturing methamphetamine; Maintaining a place for keeping a controlled substance; Possession of precursor chemicals with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. Bond for Reavis was set in the amount of 85,000.00.

 

All three individuals were placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post bond. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in Vance County District Court on October 23, 2014.
