IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

 
 

  Monday marks the end of the first nine-week grading period of the

  school year in the middle schools.

 

 

 

  This week is National Red Ribbon Week with observances in several local schools to

  focus on the prevention of violence and drug abuse.

Eaton-Johnson Middle: (Monday, October 27) – Students sign “Pledge to be Drug Free” banner in observance of Red Ribbon Week during lunch periods

   
 

Henderson Middle: (Monday, October 27) – “Discovery Education” professional development session after school

   
 

Northern Vance High: (Monday, October 27) – Interim Progress Reports distributed

   
 

Southern Vance High: (Monday, October 27) – Interim Progress Reports distributed

   
 

Western Vance High: (Monday, October 27) – Interim Progress Reports distributed

   
 

Early College High: (Tuesday, October 28) – ACT PLAN test given to all sophomores

   
 

Northern Vance High: (Tuesday, October 28) – ACT PLAN test given to all sophomores

   
 

Southern Vance High: (Tuesday, October 28) – ACT PLAN test given to all sophomores

   
 

Western Vance High: (Tuesday, October 28) – ACT PLAN test given to all sophomores

   
 

Eaton-Johnson Middle: (Wednesday, October 29) – All students and staff members wear red in support of Red Ribbon Week observance

   
 

Henderson Middle: (Wednesday, October 29) – EVAAS professional development session after school

   
 

Southern Vance High: (Wednesday, October 29) – Jack Long, a faculty member, makes presentations each class period in the Drama Room about his experiences in the Central African Republic as a Peace Corps volunteer

   
 

STEM Early High: (Friday, October 31) – Student pictures taken

   
 

Early College High: (Friday, October 31) – End of second six-week grading period

Monday, November 10-Friday November 14: College Application Week for high school seniors

Tuesday, November 11: Veteran’s Day holiday. All schools and school system offices are closed.

Tuesday, November 18: End of six-week grading period at Northern Vance, Southern Vance and Western Vance high schools

ATHLETIC EVENTS
Northern Vance and Southern Vance Football Admission is $6.00.

Volleyball and Soccer Admission is $5.00. Admission for Tennis and Cross Country is free.

Eaton-Johnson and Henderson Middle Football Admission is $5.00.

Volleyball and Soccer Admission is $4.00
