IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

 
 

  Report cards are distributed on Tuesday at Northern Vance, Southern Vance and

  Western Vance high schools.

 

 

 

  A meeting for parents of AIG students in all schools will be held to discuss the future

  Of the Vance County Partners for the Advancement of Gifted Education (PAGE) from

  5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the cafeteria at Eaton-Johnson Middle School.

 

 

 

 

  Interim Progress Reports are distributed on Wednesday at the middle schools.

 

 

 

 

  The Vance County Schools’ Annual Retirement Banquet will be held beginning at 6

  p.m. on Thursday in the cafeteria at Northern Vance High School.

 

 

 

  2014 Christmas partnership event with Salvation Army on Friday. OCS students in

  high schools will be assembling boxes to use for Salvation Army donations during the

  holidays.

Henderson Middle: (Wednesday, December 3) – Anti-Bullying assemblies at 10 and 11 a.m.

   
 

Western Vance High: (Wednesday, December 3) – Graduation Project Committee meets

   
 

Eaton-Johnson Middle: (Thursday, December 4) –Show Choir performs at Administrative Services Center at 10 a.m. and at the Vance County Educational Office Professionals luncheon at Vance-Granville Community College at 12 p.m.

   
 

Western Vance High: (Friday, December 5) – Winning Wizards Awards

   

 

 

UPCOMING SCHOOL EVENTS

Monday, December 8: Vance County Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. in the Board Room of the Administrative Services Center on Graham Avenue in Henderson.

Monday, December 8-Wednesday, December 10: SAT preparation sessions will be led by Dr. Joseph Aicher at Northern Vance High School for students throughout the county who have signed up for participation. The session on Monday will begin at 6:30 p.m. and last until 8:45 p.m. The second session on Tuesday will begin at 6:10 p.m. and go until 9:45 p.m. On Wednesday, Dr. Aicher will meet with students and their parents on a first-come-first-serve basis beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, December 11: Financial aid workshop at 6 p.m. in Room 2341 at Early College High. Amy Denton of the College Foundation of North Carolina, will lead the workshop.

Thursday, December 11: Occupational Course of Study (OCS) Career Summit from 6 to 8 p.m. in the cafeteria at Northern Vance High School.

Thursday, December 11: Graduation photos for first semester taken at Western Vance High School beginning at 10 a.m.

Monday, December 15: School Improvement Team meeting at 3 p.m. at Western Vance High School

Thursday, December 18: Eaton-Johnson Middle School Show Choir performs for visiting elementary school students during the school day at Eaton-Johnson. The Show Choir, Chorus and Band perform in their Holiday Concert for parents, students and the community in the school’s gymnasium at 7 p.m.

Friday, December 19: End of the first semester at Early College High School

Friday, December 19: Eaton-Johnson Middle School Chorus and Band perform their Holiday Concert for the student body in the school’s gymnasium

Monday, December 22-Friday, January 2: Christmas break for students, except at Early College High School
