The MISSION of Vance County Schools is to be committed to educating all students

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

 
 

  The Vance County Board of Education will meet on Monday at 7 p.m. in the Board

  Room of the Administrative Services Center on Graham Avenue in Henderson.

 

 

 

 

  SAT preparation sessions will be led by Dr. Joseph Aicher Monday through

  Wednesday at Northern Vance High School for students throughout the county who

  have signed up for participation. The session on Monday will begin at 6:30 p.m. and

  last until 8:45 p.m. The second session on Tuesday will begin at 6:10 p.m. and go

  until 9:45 p.m. On Wednesday, Dr. Aicher will meet with students and their parents on

  a first-come-first-serve basis beginning at 6:30 p.m.

 

 

 

  Teacher Talk session for first and second-year teachers on Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m.

  in the Board Room of the Administrative Services Center.

 

 

 

  Salvation Army representatives will pick up donations from schools for the annual

  Canned Food Drive on Tuesday and Wednesday.

 

 

 

  Interim Progress Reports are distributed on Thursday at Northern Vance, Southern

  Vance and Western Vance high schools.

 

 

 

  An administrative staff meeting with all principals and central office department

  directors will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. in the Board Room of the Administrative

  Services Center.

STEM Early High: (Thursday, December 11) – PTO Holiday Teacher Appreciation luncheon

   
 

Early College High: (Thursday, December 11) – Financial aid workshop at 6 p.m. in Room 2341. Amy Denton of the College Foundation of North Carolina will lead the workshop.

   
 

Western Vance High: (Thursday, December 11) – Graduation photos for first semester taken beginning at 10 a.m.

Thursday, December 18: Eaton-Johnson Middle School Show Choir performs for visiting elementary school students during the school day at Eaton-Johnson. The Show Choir, Chorus and Band perform in their Holiday Concert for parents, students and the community in the school’s gymnasium at 7 p.m.

Friday, December 19: End of the first semester at Early College High School

Friday, December 19: Eaton-Johnson Middle School Chorus and Band perform their Holiday Concert for the student body in the school’s gymnasium

Monday, December 22-Friday, January 2: Christmas break for students, except at Early College High School
