This is Benchmark Week in reading, math and science for grades 3-5.

 

Report cards are distributed on Thursday.

Zeb Vance Elementary: (Monday, January 26) – Leadership Team meeting at 3:30 p.m.

 

Carver Elementary: (Tuesday, January 27) – The One Step Above Reading Club hosts a special program, “Echoes from the Past and Hope for the Future,” at 1:30 p.m.

 

Carver Elementary: (Wednesday, January 28) – Principal’s Breakfast

 

Carver Elementary: (Thursday, January 29) – Clubs/PLC for grades 3-5

 

New Hope Elementary: (Thursday, January 29) – PBIS Parent Summit beginning at 3:30 p.m.

 

L.B. Yancey Elementary: (Thursday, January 29) – Ronald McDonald Assembly on Anti-Bullying at 1:30 p.m.

 

Zeb Vance Elementary: (Thursday, January 29) – Awards Day and Block Party

 

New Hope Elementary: (Friday, January 30) – Student recognition programs at 12:30 and 1:30 p.m.

Tuesday, February 3: Second graders participate in “Save Our Kids” water safety classes in the afternoon at the Henderson Family YMCA at Zeb Vance Elementary

 

Thursday, February 5: Second graders participate in “Save Our Kids” water safety classes in the afternoon at the Aycock Recreation Center at Clarke Elementary

Tuesday, February 17: Second graders participate in “Save Our Kids” water safety classes in the afternoon at the Henderson Family YMCA at Zeb Vance Elementary

 

Wednesday, February 18: Early Release Day due to staff development sessions in the afternoon. Elementary and high school students will be dismissed at 12 p.m. and middle school students will be dismissed at 12:15 p.m. The STEM Early High School will dismiss students at 11:45 a.m.

 

Thursday, February 19: Black History Program at 6 p.m. at Clarke Elementary

 

Friday, February 20: Interim progress reports are distributed at elementary and middle schools

 

Thursday, February 26: Western Wax Museum at L.B. Yancey Elementary
