SCHOOL EVENTS FOR THE WEEK

 
 

Western Vance High: (Monday, January 26) – Faculty meeting at 3 p.m.

   
 

Northern Vance High: (Monday, January 26) – Faculty meeting at 3:15 p.m.

   
 

Eaton-Johnson Middle: (Tuesday, January 27) – Donald McCoy, a STEM consultant, will be leading STEM sessions in classrooms during the morning.

   
 

Northern Vance High: (Thursday, January 29) – Tentative date for pre-test for all 11th graders to prepare for ACT High School BootCamp

   
 

Southern Vance High: (Thursday, January 29) – Tentative date for pre-test for all 11th graders to prepare for ACT High School BootCamp

   
 

Early College High: (Thursday, January 29) – Tentative date for pre-test for all 11th graders to prepare for ACT High School BootCamp

Monday, February 2-Friday, February 6: Tutoring sessions in reading after school for identified 11th graders in preparation for the ACT High School BootCamp at Northern Vance, Southern Vance and Early College High. Sessions are held two days during the week at each school. Bus transportation will be provided to take students home.

Monday, February 9-Friday, February 13: Tutoring sessions in math after school for identified 11th graders in preparation for the ACT High School BootCamp at Northern Vance, Southern Vance and Early College High. Sessions are held two days during the week at each school. Bus transportation will be provided to take students home.

Tuesday, February 10: Interim Progress Reports distributed at Northern Vance, Southern Vance and Western Vance high schools

Friday, February 13: Student club activities from 8 to 8:45 a.m. at Eaton-Johnson Middle

Monday, February 16-Friday, February 20: Tutoring sessions in science after school for identified 11th graders in preparation for the ACT High School BootCamp at Northern Vance, Southern Vance and Early College High. Sessions are held two days during the week at each school. Bus transportation will be provided to take students home.

Wednesday, February 18: Early Release Day, except at Early College High, for staff development sessions in the afternoon. Elementary and high schools dismiss students at 12 p.m. and middle schools dismiss students at 12:15 p.m. The STEM Early High School dismisses students at 11:45 a.m.

Thursday, February 19: End of the fourth six-week grading period at Early College High

Friday, February 20: Interim Progress Reports are distributed at middle schools

Monday, February 23: Report cards are distributed at Early College High

Monday, February 23-Friday, February 27: Tutoring sessions in English and writing after school for identified 11th graders in preparation for the ACT High School BootCamp at Northern Vance, Southern Vance and Early College High. Sessions are held two days during the week at each school. Bus transportation will be provided to take students home.

Tuesday, February 24-Wednesday, February 25: The ACT High School BootCamp will be held during the school day for all 11th graders at Northern Vance and Southern Vance high schools. Early College High students will attend a session either at Northern Vance or Southern Vance depending on where they live. Half of the 11th graders will attend the BootCamp on the first day and the remaining half will attend the BootCamp on the second day. Each BootCamp location will be led by an ACT consultant and five or six teachers. The BootCamp will last all day at each school.
