Devonjee Branch In Federal Custody
On Thursday, February 5, 2015, Devonjee Branch was taken into custody on these federal charges by officers of the Louisburg, N.C. police department. Branch surrendered himself to authorities late yesterday evening. Branch will be held in the Franklin County Jail without privilege of bond pending transfer of custody to the United States Marshall Service. Heroin Trafficking Charges Filed
On Thursday, February 5, 2015, members of the Henderson Police Department Special Operations Unit arrested two individuals on heroin trafficking related charges. Marselle Rasheed Johnson, 27, 733 Old Baker Street, Oxford was charged with the following offenses: Trafficking heroin by transport; Trafficking heroin by possession; and Manufacturing heroin. Cynthia W. Young of Oxford recently became the Dean of Arts and Sciences at Vance-Granville Community College. She previously served as an instructor for VGCC’s Human Services Technology program. Over Two-Thirds of North Carolina Public Schools Receive C or Better on School Performance Grades for 2013-14
North Carolina’s first School Performance Grades are out, and 65.4 percent of elementary and middle schools earned a grade of C or better.
