Southern Vance High School hosted its National Technical Honor Society induction and cording ceremony in the school’s Drama Room on May 20.
A total of 29 students were honored as either new inductees into the society or as accomplished graduating seniors.
Those juniors and sophomores inducted as new members are shown in the first photo and include, front row from left, Eric McLean, Ariana Aguirre, Luis Amaya-Villa, Dasia Burrell and Dalton Elliott. On the second row, from left, are Kenia Jimenez, Anna Hernandez, Krystal Jones and Brandon Lawrence. On the back row, from left, are Carrington Matias, Jasmine Rodriguez, Karenza Shearer and Autumn Wortham. Other students inducted who were not available for the photo are Jacqueline Peoples, Kaliyah Tunstall and Keena White.
Those seniors honored for their outstanding accomplishments and completion of pathways in Career and Technical Education programs are shown in the second photo. They include, front row from left, Marquez Alston, Kendra Simmons, Alex-Clarshiaa Champ, Trakia Fields and Tamara Glover. On the second row, from left, are Ana Jimenez, Tanizha Shearin, Joshua Strother and Jade Thompson. Honored seniors not present for the photo were Ernest Robinson, Franco Pena, David Inscoe and Ashlyn Matthews.
