NC REAL Agricultural Youth Camp

Co-sponsored by Warren County Cooperative Extension and VGCC, this is an intensive five-day camp designed to enhance youth capacity in agricultural entrepreneurship. This will be held at the Warren Campus of VGCC. Tuition is $125, but scholarships are available. Limited to 20 students, register ASAP. NCDA&CS Big Shopping Cart Coming to Henderson!

Don’t miss a chance to see this 13 foot tall shopping cart, powered by a 396 Chevy engine! It has to be that big to hold all the great produce we grow in North Carolina! Come see it at the Vance County Regional Farmers Market on Wednesday, June 24th.

Live Music & More at the Farmers Market!

Vance County Regional Farmers Market this Saturday, June 20

Come visit us this Saturday, 7:30 am to 1 pm as we kick off the start of “Peak Produce Season!” We will have music by the Buggs Island Community Band, story time for kids, a garden seminar (see above) and more! The Market is open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 7:30 am to 1 pm.

Master Gardener Training Starts Next Month!

Join our volunteer program, classes start end of July.

Do you love gardening? Are you looking for an opportunity to volunteer? The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer program is just for you! Our training classes will begin on Tuesday, July 28, 9 am to noon and meet weekly for 14 weeks. For more information, come to an Open House on either of the following dates:

Tuesday, June 23rd, 4:30- 6 pm at the Warren County Extension Center

Tuesday, June 30, 4:30-6 pm at the Vance County Extension Center.

Produce & More at the Warren County Farmers Market

Open Saturdays, 8 am to noon in downtown Warrenton

Find produce, baked goods and much more at the Warren County Farmers Market. You will find them in the BB&T Parking Lot, just off Main Street. Master Gardeners are in attendance every 1st and 3rd Saturday to answer your plant questions.
