Three important dates in American newspaper history occurred in September. These anniversaries span more than three centuries. On September 15, 1982, USA Today began publishing. On September 18, 1851, the New York Times issued its first edition. And in September 1690, the first newspaper in America was published in Boston. Called “Public Occurrences, Both Forreign and Domestick,” it lasted for one day in Boston before being shut down by British authorities unhappy with its content. Although the industry is struggling, there are nearly 7,500 publishers of daily, weekly or other periodical newspapers in the U.S., employing over 231,000 people. NO COMMENTS on the COUNTY CROOK getting her lil’ Plea Deal accepted? No wonder people say that Henderson and Vance County have become a ghost town. Where are all the irate taxpayers who were mad as ‘wet hens’ that the COUNTY CROOK had stolen all that $$$ with a very juvenile scheme. If only her supervisor…who happened to retire after she was found out was doing his job it may have not gotten to the point where she stole over 1/4 MILLION DOLLARS of taxpayer money!!!
I guess it says a lot when you look at the people running for the city council seats. CJ DALE? Really? That’s laughable…..isn’t he the same guy who claimed he played in the NFL with the Eagles and GOD who knows else? A little fact checking showed that this was indeed a LIE that he was telling. He already seems to have that trait that politicians need….being able to LIE with a straight face!!!
Congratulations….you are a city council member of a DUMP!!! Nice accomplishment!!
Thank you so much for explaining the errors of our ways, Decept. You confuse me. You seem capable of intellectual discussion. But your posts are so stupidly obnoxious. Heah, small critter, what is your xxxx point?
At least she is going to serve some time for it. I recently met her mother and father and they’re a wonderful couple. I hate that their daughter because of her actions have just about broke them. Reavis deserves to service the maximum sentence! I hear shes not on social media again. I for one would be to ashamed to have myself out in public if I would have done what she did
Sorry Triple H but just b/c it says she may be sentenced to between 44-65 months that IS NOT a guarantee that she will ever reside at any Dept. of Corrections Prison. Her atty. will try to get the “right” Judge on the day of the sentencing and suggest that the 44-65 months be served on either House Arrest or Suspended and thus she WILL NOT reside in a JAIL or PRISON unless she breaks the terms of her supervision. NOT ONE DAY IN JAIL!!!! WATCH & SEE…….did you people forget that this is the 9th Judicial District where Murderers are offered plea deals and many times given credit for time served while waiting in jail for the Trial and I’ve personally seen them walk out of the Court House with their loved ones w/o having to return to Jail or Prison!!
Like I’ve said too many times to count……FACTS DON’T LIE…..PEOPLE LIE!!!!! Stick around and see if she has to put on the prison attire!! I guarantee you the odds of that happening are less than 1%!!!
