Ask many Americans where their food comes from, and they’ll answer the supermarket, while clothing comes from the mall. That’s why today is National Agriculture Day, and March 13 to 19 is National Agriculture Week. These annual programs focus on students across the nation, the consumers of tomorrow. They’ll learn that from pizzas to cosmetics, from clothing to orange juice, agriculture gives us what we eat each day and much of what we wear and use. In 1920, there were nearly 6.5 million farms in the U.S., and some 32 million people lived on farms. Today, the number of farms has shrunk to just over 2 million. America has 913 million acres of farmland, averaging 438 acres per farm. You can find more facts about America from the U.S. Census Bureau online at <www.census.gov>.

Just voted. I usually early vote, but this time I wanted to see how Election Day voting would be effected by the new ID requirements. No line, in and out in five minutes. Smooth as silk. Congratulations to the Vance County Board of Elections!
I see Carolyn Faines won! Surprise surprise surprise, yeah right! Nothing changes once again in Henderson. Deception how about you go off on this woman who PAID the BLACK caucus to support her.
