On November 29 2009 at 4:15 p.m. officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of Merriman Street.
Upon arrival, officers found two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Eddie Williams, 41 and Michael Brodie, 39 were transported to the Maria Parham Medical Center by ambulance. Antonio Hart, 33 was transported by private vehicle to the Maria Parham Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound. Brodie and Hart were transferred to Duke Medical Center for further treatment. None of the wounds are life threatening.

Eddie Williams
Cn December 18, 2009 Eddie Williams of 1830 Farm Street in Henderson, North Carolina was arrested at the magistrate’s office by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and felony conspiracy in relation to the shooting of Antonio Hart and Michael Brodie. Williams was given a secured bond of $905,000 and remains in the Vance County Jail pending a court date of December 21, 2009.
Eddie Williams is currently on 24 month probation for a carrying a concealed weapon conviction in Vance County on September 25, 2008.
