There will be a ceremonial signing of Community Watch resolutions on Tuesday, January 12, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. in the County Commissioners’ Conference Room located in the County Administration Building at 122 Young Street in Henderson, North Carolina.
The resolutions passed by both the city and county governments call for 2010 to be designated the Year of Community Watch.
The Rev. Frank Sossamon serves at the chair of Vance County’s Community Watch organization. The ceremony is being held at his request.
Attendees will include Vance County Board of Commissioners Chair Danny Wright, Henderson Mayor Pete O’Geary, Vance County Sheriff Peter White, Henderson Police Chief Keith Sidwell, City Manager Ray Griffin, and County Manager Jerry Ayscue, among others.
