Key transportation leaders from Alabama, Florida, North and South Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee met in Atlanta, Georgia on January 25, 2010 and voted to form the Southeast High Speed Rail Coalition.
The purpose of the coalition will be to accelerate high speed and intercity rail connectivity in the region.
Congress has designated a series of corridors across the southeast which would connect to our current SEHSR corridor between Charlotte, North Carolina and Washington, D.C.
