On March 7, 2010 at 12:12 a.m. members of the Henderson Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the area of 548 W. Spring Street in reference to a subject who had allegedly been shot.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim lying on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the buttocks. The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.
Upon further investigation by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, Antonio Townes, 16, of 118 North Street in Henderson, North Carolina was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
