HPD makes arrest for attempted kidnapping


On May 1, 2010 at 1:38 p.m., members of the Henderson Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to 615 Raleigh Road in reference to a kidnapping and an assault that had occurred.

Upon arrival, Officers found the victim who informed them that two Hispanic males pulled up to him, jumped out of their vehicle and began to assault him until he lost consciousness. The victim stated that when he regained consciousness he was in the back seat of an unknown car. He stated that he jumped out of the vehicle and another assault began. The suspects forced the victim back into the vehicle and took him back to 615 Raleigh Road where they threatened to kill him. He was then forced out of the vehicle, after which the suspects fled the scene. The victim then noticed that they had taken an undisclosed amount of money from him, allegedly while he was unconscious.

Upon further investigation by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Patrol Division and the Criminal Investigation Division, Edson Gutierrez was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
