We’re fascinated by the argument that Vance County Commissioners Tim Pegram and Terry Garrison put forward yesterday that Henderson city residents must assume a greater tax burden because the city charter and city residence are entered into voluntarily.
Many cities around the country understand that the services they provide support employment, and they impose a tax on suburbanites who commute into the city to work in order to support those municipal services. Should Henderson consider such a tax to support its services and programs?
