Copper Rain’s son, with fellow soldiers, in Iraq
This is the day to honor our warriors.
In a time of peace we tend to forget the great sacrifices that have been made in the name of freedom and democracy. There are a few veterans from WWI still living and today I watched them receive honor and tribute.
My father is a WWII veteran. He never spoke of his experiences but he was in the war when I was born. I am surrounded by Vietnam veterans, my peers, my friends, my heroes.
I ask you to honor all of our military men and women, past and present. They are our children, mates, relatives. They, along with our children, are our future. Without the sacrifices our warriors are willing to make, there would be no freedom.
I submit a photo of my son in Iraq. He’ll be returning for a third time unless there is a miracle of peace suddenly breaking through!
Thank you, Heroes.
From my heart,
Mama Rain
