Alaina Giordano, the North Carolina mother with stage 4 breast cancer has lost the battle for her childrens custody.   Her two children are moving to Chicago to live with their father while she continues her cancer treatment in Durham.  In the court ruling, Durham District Court Judge Nancy Gordon stated that she denied Giordano primary custody because she was unemployed, “the course of her disease is unknown” and “children who have a parent with cancer need more contact with the non-ill parent.”  You may read the full article here http://abcnews.go.com/Health/WomensHealth/north-carolina-mom-loses-custody-kids-breast-cancer/story?id=14316303

If you’re curious where the Obamabus went Tuesday, the President’s visited Iowa for 2 stops.  One was a town hall meeting in Decorah,Iowa, where he talked with 500 local citizens about how we can grow the economy and put people back to work. The crowd asked questions on topics ranging from reforming the tax code and the rights of unions to whether Congress is a good partner, and what the current Washington gridlock means for democracy.

Next, the economic bus tour pulls into Peosta, Iowa for the White House Rural Economic Forum at Northeast Iowa Community College. President Obama and members of his Cabinet met with private sector leaders, farmers and small business owners to discuss ideas to grow the economy, accelerate hiring and spur innovation in small towns across the country.
