Oxford Bar & Grill hosted a fundraising effort in partnership with Granville County Relay for Life team Angels for Aimee on April 9 and 10, 2007.
On both days, 50% of all express lunch menu purchases were donated to the Angels for Aimee Granville County Relay for Life team.
In addition, many of the team members of Angels for Aimee volunteered their time and effort assisting the Oxford Bar & Grill staff in serving the numerous people who turned out to support this local team, including: Beverly Tippett, Melissa Wilkerson, Crystal Gill, Skylar Mullhollen, Donna Penny, Austin Wilkerson, and Jordan Wilkerson.
One of the owners, Kirby Kim, stated, “We were delighted to join forces with Angels for Aimee to raise funds to beat cancer!”
On Friday, May 11th, owners Sati Chibbra and Kirby Kim presented a check in the amount of $500 to Angels for Aimee team members Melissa Wilkerson, Skylar Mulhollen, and Donna Penny.
Wilkerson, the team captain, remarked that “Angels for Aimee was created in memory of my sister, Aimee Penny Mulhollen, who lost her battle with cancer on January 31, 2006. Having an event in which Aimee’s daughter [Skylar Mulhollen], our mother [Donna Penny] and my family work together in partnership with a local business was a great tribute to Aimee’s memory and something we sincerely appreciate.”
