Relay For Life starts at 3:00 p.m. at the Southern Vance High School Athletic field.

Our goal this year is $186,000.

Last year we went into the event with a little more than $87,000. This year we have over $128,000 to go into the event with.
I have full hope that we will surpass our goal and possibly hit $200,000.

Also, this year’s them is “Christmas in June – Giving the Gift of Hope”. There will be plenty of good food (hotdogs, grilled corn, chicken sandwiches, barbecue chicken, hamburgers, funnel cakes, corn dogs, cotton candy, fresh fruit, Methodist lemonade, ice tea, strawberry shortcakes, sausage dogs, snow cones and even breakfast items on Saturday morning).

The opening ceremony and survivor lap will be at 7:00 p.m. and the luminary service will be at 9:00 p.m. Friday night.

Also on Friday night, the Remax hot air balloon will be giving rides up to 100 feet in the air for a donation.

On Saturday morning starting around 10:00 am the kids’ walk will begin, and lots of kids activities will be there from the moonwalk to crafts. The caregivers lap will also be Saturday morning.
