A lot of political maneuvering in the state these days, with “Late this afternoon, in a temporary restraining order issued in response to a complaint by NCAE, Wake County Judge Paul Gessner ruled NCAE “has shown a likelihood of success on the merits” of its claim that the process violated the state constitution.”  (read more)

Another issue is “Dozens of Democrats and advocacy groups challenging the new Republican-drawn maps for North Carolina’s legislative and congressional districts want judges to delay the state’s May 8 primary by two months while their lawsuits wind through the courts.” (read more)

These issues are extremely important to get some knowledge of before you make your decision come election day.  No matter your stance, take some time to read whats going on both sides before you make your party vote.


In our own county, last night was a busy night with meetings all around.  We’ll post updates when we get them in.  But our reporter for the city is currently on leave this month so unfortunately we won’t have any info there.


It’s true that “One of three men charged in a fatal Henderson home invasion last month, in which a teenager shot and killed one of the intruders, was freed after posting bond on Monday.”  Seneca Henderson posted his $56,500 bail and walked away, while the other 2 suspects remained in jail. Now the question is where did he walk away to? You think it was his parents who then promptly locked him in his bedroom?  Or is he back on the prowl again?
