On June 6, 2012 around 12:55 PM officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to 208 Harriett Street, Henderson in reference to a person who had been shot. Upon arrival officers found Jermaine Hargrove, 24, of 208 Harriett Street with a single gunshot wound to his body. Vance County EMS arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital.
On February 2, 2012 officer with the Henderson Police Department Vice/Narc Unit and the SWAT team conducted a search warrant on the residence located at 208 Harriett Street, Henderson after numerous complaints from citizens. During the search warrant, around 25 grams of marijuana, ammunition, and U.S. currency was seized. The occupant, Carolyn Bachelor, 68, of 208 Harriett Street, Henderson was arrested and charged with felony maintaining a dwelling.
Property owner, Natalie Butler, was made aware of the drug activity on February 2, 2012 by members of the Henderson Police Department.
Shooting investigation is being conducted by members of the Henderson Police Department Criminal Investigations Division.
