The Second Amendment has ensured our right to bear arms and self-protection for more than two centuries. This week, the Second Amendment came under attack when the president issued 23 executive orders which seek to infringe on the very rights the amendment protects. In this newsletter you will find the statement I released this week regarding the president’s assault on the Second Amendment, along with related news clips.
Also in this newsletter, you will find information about a report released this week by the Energy & Commerce Committee regarding their ongoing investigation into green energy stimulus funding. The investigation has found that one out of every four dollars from the 1603 program has benefitted foreign firms. With $16 trillion in debt, we cannot afford to send one out of every four taxpayer dollars overseas for a program that has failed to create the jobs that were promised.

My Response to President Obama’s Assault on the 2nd Amendment
This week, President Obama is once again exploiting a tragedy for political gain and eroding our constitutional rights for the sake of an extreme liberal agenda. We need to have a serious discussion on how we can prevent troubled individuals from carrying out their insane intentions. But attacking our legal rights and liberties through abusive executive orders destroys the very principles that have protected our citizens from oppressive government power for over 236 years.
Committee Report Exposes Foreign Corporations Benefiting From Green Energy Stimulus Funding
The Energy and Commerce Committee this week released an in-depth report on its ongoing investigation into the implementation of President Obama’s green energy spending program under Section 1603 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The report, “American Taxpayer Investment, Foreign Corporation Benefit,” reveals that foreign renewable energy companies have benefited extensively from the stimulus-created program at the expense of their domestic competition and the American taxpayer. This report follows the committee’s previous report, “Where are the Jobs? – The Elusiveness of Job Creation under the Section 1603 Grant Program for Renewable Energy,” which revealed that job creation is an afterthought of the Section 1603 program and that the program has produced very few long-term jobs at a high per-job cost to taxpayers.
