On May 21, 2008, the Henderson—Vance Crime Stoppers program won the Productivity Award from the Southeastern Crime Stoppers Association for the most cases solved of property/drugs recovered with a population under 50,000.
The award was presented at the Southeastern Crime Stoppers Conference in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
The Southeastern Crime Stoppers Association was formed in 1984 to assist member Crime Stoppers programs in Southeastern United States. The areas served include Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Puerto Rico.
The award was presented to Lt. Irvin Robinson of the Henderson Police Department, the Coordinator of the Henderson Vance Crime Stoppers. Robinson received the award during the N.C. Crime Stoppers Conference held October 12-14, 2008 in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina.
