
The Volunteers of the Maria Parham Medical Center Guild Gift Gallery won November’s Community Hero Award from the Vance County Board of Commissioners on Monday evening.
The volunteers were nominated by Commissioner Tim Pegram.
The guild gift volunteers provide gifts, snacks, and convenience items for visitors and patients at the hospital.
Gene Bobbitt was credited as the organizer and merchandise manager, Sally Lloyd as the bookkeeper, and Anne Bunch as the president of the guild.
The organization received a check for $25 from the county and a plaque.
