New Hope Elementary: (Friday, January 10) – Lunch treat for students who met goals for Accelerated Reader

Monday, January 20: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. All schools and school system offices are closed.

   

Tuesday, January 21: Teacher workday. No school for students.

   

Tuesday, January 21-Thursday, January 23: Science Fair open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Zeb Vance Elementary

   

Wednesday, January 22: Second semester begins

   

Thursday, January 23: Early High School STEM representatives meet with fifth graders to share information about program at Carver Elementary

   

Thursday, January 23: K-3 Assessment meeting with DPI consultant and elementary principals in the Administrative Services Center at 3:30 p.m.

   

Thursday, January 23: Science Parent Night from 5 to 7 p.m. at Zeb Vance Elementary

   

Friday, January 24: Early High School STEM representatives meet with fifth graders to share information about program at 2 p.m. at E.O. Young Jr. Elementary

   

Monday, January 27: Third Grade Parent Night at E.M. Rollins Elementary from 6 to 7 p.m. to share information with parents about the new N.C. Read to Achieve Program

   

Monday, January 27: Professional Learning Centers at L.B. Yancey Elementary

   

Tuesday, January 28: School Improvement Team meeting at New Hope Elementary

   

Tuesday, January 28: Eagles on Red at Zeb Vance Elementary

   

Tuesday, January 28-Thursday, January 30: Reading, math and science benchmarks for grades 3-5

Friday, January 31: Henderson Optimist Club rewards for top readers and best attendance at 1:15 p.m. at E.O. Young Jr. Elementary
