52 Pounds of Marijuana Confisicated in Parham Road Bust


Parham Street-1On Thursday, April 10, 2014, members of the Henderson Police Department Special Operations Division and the Vance County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 744 Parham Road, Henderson. Officers arrested Mark Anthony Davis and Lawanda Joyce Ragland. Davis and Ragland were occupants of the residence. During the search, officers recovered 52 pounds of marijuana, a marijuana grow operation, several firearms, United States currency and other drug related paraphernalia.

Mark Davis was charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, one count of trafficking marijuana, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a 127,000.00 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Vance County District Court on April 21, 2014.

Lawanda Ragland

Lawanda Ragland was charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of maintaining a dwelling for keeping controlled substances. Ragland was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a 80,000.00 secured bond. Ragland is also scheduled to appear in Vance County District Court on April 21, 2014.
