IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Report cards are distributed on Wednesday.

 

 

 

Monday, November 10, is a teacher workday with no school for students.

 

Tuesday, November 11, is the Veteran’s Day holiday. All schools and school system offices are closed.

Dabney Elementary: (Monday, November 3) – School Improvement Team meeting

 

Zeb Vance Elementary: (Monday, November 3) – Fall pictures taken

 

L.B. Yancey Elementary: (Monday, November 3-Friday, November 7) – School Spirit Week. Monday is Cowboy Hat Day.

 

Aycock Elementary: (Tuesday, November 4) – All second graders participate in “Save Our Kids” water safety classes in the afternoon at the Aycock Recreation Center

 

Clarke Elementary: (Tuesday, November 4) – VGCC faculty members lead science presentations in fourth and fifth-grade classrooms

 

New Hope Elementary: (Tuesday, November 4) – Principal’s Breakfast. Practice school lockdown.

 

L.B. Yancey Elementary: (Tuesday, November 4) – Career Day

 

E.O. Young Jr. Elementary: (Tuesday, November 4) – Girls on the Run session from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m.

 

Zeb Vance Elementary: (Tuesday, November 4) – Girls on the Run session from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m.

 

Aycock Elementary: (Wednesday, November 5) – Fifth graders who reached AR goals have swimming at Aycock Recreation Center at 1 p.m. Girls on the Run session from 3 to 4:15 p.m.

 

New Hope Elementary: (Wednesday, November 5) – Report card pickup from 3 to 6 p.m.

 

L.B. Yancey Elementary: (Wednesday, November 5) – Bandana Day. PTA meeting at 5:30 p.m. Parent conferences.

 

Zeb Vance Elementary: (Wednesday, November 5) – Awards Day assemblies at 8:30 and 10 a.m. and  Block Party

 

Aycock Elementary: (Thursday, November 6) – All second graders participate in “Save Our Kids” water safety classes in the afternoon at the Aycock Recreation Center. Girls on the Run session from 3 to 4:15 p.m. Report Card Night until 6:30 p.m.

 

Dabney Elementary: (Thursday, November 6) – Optimist Club Reading Reward assembly

 

L.B. Yancey Elementary: (Thursday, November 6) – Tacky Wacky Day

Thursday, November 13: Book Fair begins at Aycock Elementary. All second graders participate in “Save Our Kids” water safety classes in the afternoon at the Aycock Recreation Center. Girls on the Run session from 3 to 4:15 p.m. Report Card Night until 6:45 p.m. followed by PTA meeting at 7 p.m.

 

Thursday, November 13: Practice school lockdown with Vance County Sheriff’s Department at New Hope Elementary.

 

Thursday, November 13: Awards ceremonies at 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. at L.B. Yancey Elementary.
