Reports Of Drug Sales Nets Pills and Firearm


On Friday, November 14, 2014, members of the Henderson Police Department Special Operations Unit executed a search warrant at 832 Arrow Street in Henderson. The investigation and search warrant were prompted by reports of drug sales in the area. During the search, officers discovered a quantity of pills and a stolen firearm.

Karen Vaughan Turner, 46, 832 Arrow Street, Henderson was charged with two counts of possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a schedule 2 controlled substance and maintaining a dwelling for keeping/selling a controlled substance.

Harvey Turner Jr., 41, 832 Arrow Street, Henderson was charged with two counts of possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a schedule 2 controlled substance, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and maintaining a dwelling for keeping/selling a controlled substance.

The Turner’s were placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post bond. Karen Turner was placed under a 25,000.00 secured bond. Harvey Turner Jr., was placed under a 30,000.00 secured bond. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in Vance County District Court on December 9, 2014.
