Search Warrant Leads to Drug Arrests


In response to citizen complaints, members of the Henderson Police Department Special Operations Unit conducted an investigation into illegal narcotic sales at 305 Jane Avenue in Henderson. The investigation culminated Wednesday, December 3, 2014 with members of the unit executing a search warrant at the residence.

Bryan Person, 21, 305 Jane Avenue, Henderson was charged with the following offenses: Possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver marijuana; Maintaining a dwelling for keeping/selling a controlled substance; Manufacturing marijuana; Possession of drug paraphernalia. Person was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a 32,000.00 secured bond.

Kelby Richards

Kelby K. Richards, 43, also of 305 Jane Avenue, Henderson was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for keeping/selling a controlled substance. Richards was released from custody after posting a 2,000.00 secured bond.

A preliminary hearing for Mr. Person and Mr. Richards has been scheduled for Vance County District Court on January 6, 2015.
